R.K.Saboo

Rajendra K. Saboo is the second Indian to rise to the high echelons of Rotary International, as President for the year 1991-92.
Saboo joined Rotary in 1961, and served the Club as
President in 1970-71

Trustee of the Rotary Foundation 1992-98
Chairman of the Trustee of The Rotary Foundation 1996-97

The President of India conferred on him Padamshree in 2006 for his contribution to the society and initiation of project to save the lives of children suffering from congenital cardiac disease.

He has also been conferred the Degree Honoris Causa by two Universities, i.e. Panjab University, Chandigarh; and the Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University in Uttranchal, the Udyog Rattan Award by the PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and an Award of Excellence by the Chandigarh Management Association.
